"It's all in the Presentation"

 **************************************************************

A network of women in your life is so important whether they are family or friends, they can be a wealth of information, knowledge & support

These are the women in my family including my Mom and sister Rachael, sister in law Gloria, nieces Brittany. Shannon and Mandie and my beautiful daughters Aubrie and Tara.

From iphones to forgiveness, that's the hard and the soft of it.  We all live such busy lives that sometimes we need a place to plug in.

~My Story~

Pictured above are my daughters Aubrie and Tara.  My daughters are total opposites in every way imaginable...including the obvious (brunette & blonde).

This vision for sharing has been brewing for many years and started with a dating book idea but as everything in life, has now exploded into something much larger.

A heritage of strong women was passed down to me and with each generation, I was taught to hold my head high and put on a little make up every day, even if I didn't feel like it.  My Maternal Grandmother was Miss Ft. Worth and my Fraternal Grandmother played the saxophone in the Ft. Worth Symphony orchestra.  I find those facts fascinating!

I really hope you will enjoy learning and growing with me in this adventure and share from your own experiences because we all learn from each other.  I know that God has been the source of my strength and has seen me through the tough times, and I give him all the glory and thanks.

To my girls Aubrie and Tara, I love you with all my heart and thank you for loving me through all the crazy years.  Look at the good side, now you will have all my recipes online!

 ~Tips 4 Staying Young~

 MOVE!

Get up, get out and get going!  No one likes a Debbie Downer and I doubt you would even like to spend time with yourself so get dressed every day and stay fresh.  Make yourself up, smell pretty and go do something.  Quit making excuses and quit feeling sorry for yourself.  You don't have friends?  Make some!  Where?  Join a church, make friends with your kids parents, join a dance class, join a gym.  Don't have money?  Get a part time job!  Quit making excuses.  Don't be a Martha Moaner.  Move!

                                                 EXERCISE!!!

Want to look good for the summer or always? Start walking a mile a day. Start eating more vegtables and lean proteins, less carbohydrates. Don't eat carbohydrates after 3:00. Drink less alcohol. Get out and socialize. You have to excercise a little every day or five days a week even when you don't feel like it. Watch less t.v. Commit to being a better you. Stop making excuses and get up and exercise. Take 15 to 20 minutes a day and devote it to you. You deserve it. You can make 40's, 50's & yes 60's look fabulous darling!

                                          THROW IT AWAY!!!!

Go through your closet and throw out styles that are dated and make you look old and don't compliment your body style. Get rid of it!! It won't come back in style for another ten years and if it does, chances are it won't be the same size. Don't be a hoarder. Make room for the new you. Do this exercise with younger more stylish eyes!

~This is Kim and here is her story~

Life is everyday changing and challenge! You either rise to the challenge or fall and become a victim!

I have suffered from anorexia, been beaten physically and mentally abused by my husband, been attacked and held at gun point in my home in front of my children, as my attacker tried to rape me, I had my marriage of 17 yrs destroyed by the power of money, drugs and alcoholism that consumed my ex husband.

I built a life and security on my own for my 4 children and I, only to lose it all and start all over again!! I lost my precious father, who was my best friend, confidant, and the only father figure in my children's life!

I almost lost a boy who was a son to me, a brother to my boys and daughter, to suicide, only to lose him two months later to an accidental gunshot after a weekend hunting trip with my boys.

I lost my long term relationship when I walked in and caught the love of my life cheating with a younger women, only to be followed one month later by being diagnosed with a Cancer that only gave me 6 to 8 months to live......Dying was not an option, and I put it in Gods hands to help me through!

I'm a simple ordinary women with an extraordinary past....the details are even hard for me to comprehend at times!!  Today, I have beaten ALL the obstacles life has thrown at me...one on one...taking deep breaths and never losing my faith in God.

The real goal is to NEVER GIVE UP  and use the negative stones that are thrown our way to build a tower of beauty and strength to the heavens above!

I pray my life is far from being over...but I hope the legacy I leave behind someday is that of strength, courage, happiness, and faith!

Kim, we applaud you for your strength and your faith.  What you don't know about Kim and she would never say is that in spite of all her adversity, she is a very successful business woman and has a huge network of friends that support her.  She is creative and stylish and many admire her sense of fashion and flare for life and speed at which she runs at each day.  May God richly bless you Kim and keep you on your journey and bless you and your family.  Thank you for sharing your story.
